Default 2006 Handmade Bicycle Show Photos

Greetings -

Just a quick heads-up that following the 2006 North American Handmade
Bicycle Show this past weekend in San Jose, many attendees had managed to
get permission from the exhibitors to take photos.

Pretty amazing grouping of the builders who are both pushing the envelope
and continually refining proven designs.

I've pulled together a page with a mini-report and links to photo pages and
more "official" reports:

experienced custom builders offer experienced custom building. AHA!
notice gordon's backbrace for the front rack - if you get bent you can
always spear the package - notice the friction levers - notice what i'm
not aware of.... but the ECB is!

the small point design stuff isn't readily understandable to the less
experienced who are unaware that Fuji et al do not have the time to
screw around with the details and expects yawl won't notice anyway
because yawl %^^%##@ ignorant
but long ago - when the asian hourly rate was analagous to today's
chinese rate -

the old front rack of street salvage aluminum broke off and i replaced
it with an improved model but had the same old expletive deleted
problem of the set-on package jamming the brake cable, pulling pads
onto rim.
so, seeing gordon's example i finally decided to add another strip
behind the center pull mount - butbutbut was there room on the stock
6mm factory bolt??
off course! just enough with a thread and a half left over.

Talbot's book written in 1983 lacks a section on Aluminum!
is there a resource on aluminum framesets?
