Just like an alcoholic, give them money and they won't go by a meal and try to straighten themselves out, they go by more alcohol. usa economy requires credit to run No, it does not. That's a common misconception perpetrated to keep America addicted to credit, interest payments to overlords. frb is not allowed to extend credit to the general public So what? unless banks are forced to extend credit to the general public how would you propose to get credit opened without paying the extortion You're assuming that the general public should receive an addictive substance by governmental edict? No. its all very nice to say we shouldnt pay extortion but we need the banks to do something for us do you think it better to create a depression to change the economic system? Why? Not three words or a paragraph, explain carefully why America should take an extremely socialist step to reward the very people who committed the crimes that brought this issue to the forefront. Explain why this is suddenly a "catastrophe" when two weeks ago we were being told that all is well. I don't buy the rush to throw public money at private profiteers, this is how we got hte "Patriot Act" and Iraq. You'll have to do a lot more than run around screaming "the sky is falling." we could allow frb services directly to the public but gosh that would be a commie solution so whats your answer To let those responsible deal with their own malpractice. Let banks fail, let the managers dig holes for a living, stay out of the disaster. When the dust settles continue on with life without their debt obligation. arf meow arf - cats and dogs living together - who ya goin call its the end of the world as you know it - filler text goes here this is how the world ends - not with a whimper but with a bang this is how the world ends - not with a whimper but with a bang -- Regards, Curly ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Now Playing!!! Everybody's squaking about de-regulation, but the problem is just the opposite. The banks were forced to come up with ways to give loans to people who couldn't afford them. And the president said: See, look how many people were able to buy houses under my adminstration (Clinton anyone?) its all very nice to say we shouldnt pay extortion but we need the banks to do something for us If you can't afford it, you can't afford it. It's not the bank's, nor is it the taxpayers responsibility to see that you get money that you *think* you need/deserve. Nobody said life was fair. |

Everybody's squaking about de-regulation, but the problem is just the opposite. like i said before the true believers will not accept their church has failed they will instead argue the market has not been free enough testify brother testify The banks were forced to come up with ways to give loans to people who couldn't afford them. And the president said: See, look how many people were able to buy houses under my adminstration (Clinton anyone?) so youve statistics of how many of which style of loans have failed? its all very nice to say we shouldnt pay extortion but we need the banks to do something for us If you can't afford it, you can't afford it. It's not the bank's, nor is it the taxpayers responsibility to see that you get money that you *think* you need/deserve. Nobody said life was fair. okay so we have two votes in favor of depression business are required to use credit instead of cash to prevent hostile buyouts and now you want them to use cash instead of credit to prevent dependence on banks so i take it you want to get rid of all publicly traded businesses? arf meow arf - cats and dogs living together - who ya goin call its the end of the world as you know it - filler text goes here this is how the world ends - not with a whimper but with a bang this is how the world ends - not with a whimper but with a bang |

That's a common misconception perpetrated to keep America addicted to credit, interest payments to overlords. publicly traded business that keep sufficient cash on hand not to need credit are then subject to take overs to grab that cash Even if that were true, which it is not, so what? I operated my own business for close to 30 years without a single loan. Credit is an addiction. Go for it if you want but do not assume that everyone has your bad habit. thanks to the lord your reagan business that survive have their assets and liabilitlies as close together as possible Do not make the same idiotic mistake that cockroach and gunner wallow in. You cannot possibly know my position without asking or seeing me post it somewhere, I am much more complex than many here. Do not assume the right to misrepresent my position, claim to have ESP, or to speak for me. changing that requires changing laws and regulations To let those responsible deal with their own malpractice. Let banks fail, let the managers dig holes for a living, stay out of the disaster. When the dust settles continue on with life without their debt obligation. so thats a vote for depression Given your erroneous prediction above, what makes you think a depression is inevitable? Can you promise that $700,000,000,000.00 will prevent a depresssion? And stop sniping, you've chopped out a number of issues which I rebutted and you had no viable response to. -- Regards, Curly ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Now Playing!!!
