STOP THE FEAR MONGERING

wrote: It greatly amuses me to be accused of being closed minded by two of the most ideological and closed minded people I've ever met on the subject of politics. I'm quite aware of my poltiical biases. I am quite left -- far more left than you (which is easy) and more left the American electorate. And I'm aware of it. You are not aware how conservative you are. you believe you are open-minded and really independent. You think that because you see through the hackery of some conservatives such as BushCo you are independent, but on the basic framing of politics in the US you are completely played. And, unaware of it. The latter is the sad part. |

But on the fundamental framing of political debate, the right (places like NewsMax, people) is what he follows. The right was winning the newsbite war on "bipartisanship" and they've got Bill on that one. It's typical. Too broad. Use examples. Gwen Ifill's predicted treatment of Sarah Palin and its subsequent failure to materialize as Fox opined is one example. You know others. Don't assert a pattern, establish it. It probably wont matter, but it's better than name calling. |

I thought that interview would be an ambush as many others were. it wasn't and I said I was wrong. That's a foreign concept to both Howard and JT on politics. The rule is never say anything plainly, say as little as possible that you can be held to, and then deny, avoid, or throw up strawmen when you are incorrect. Being willing to admit you were mistaken, reevaluate your position based on new evidence, and say it out loud is something those folks accusing me of being closed minded don't do, here at least. It's like being told your a bad person by someone who deals hardcore drugs to children. At least they know what it looks like, but they just can't imagine or allow someone to not be like them. Gotta drag everyone down into the same cesspool to preserve their superiority to everyone else so they can mock them, crush their souls, call their homes ********s, etc... Bill C |

Bill, I've told you before that I put those two on "ignore" for a reason. If you read their crap all that can happen is that you get involved in their personal problems which they are intend on moderating by taking them out on everyone around them. |
