You would think that at his age he would have gained more sense.

Perhaps it is a misprint and he was really 58 years old.

My wifi broad band is significantly lower than when plugged in to the
router.

I think it is not generally known that with Virgin routers you can
investigate
and see what frequency band you are using and what your neighbours are
using.
You can swicth the band which is used, so that you get less
interference/contention from other near by routers.

An engineer told me that: but did not know how to change the frequency band.

I found a Virgin web page with the details: search for "How do I change my
Virgin Media routerā€™s wireless channel / frequency?"

Having selected the least used channel - my speeds went up by about 60%.

Why do the police want to speak to the drivers? How on earth could they be at fault?

Being old does not mean you are sensible, nor that you deserve
veneration, doing something dangerous that is easily spotted in advance
needs to be publicly reported in order to encourage the others to do
better.
Probably his injuries would have been more minor if he had been wearing
a helmet. Research shows that the elderly have easily fractured skulls
and need head protection more than someone a bit younger.

But you aren't interested in making cycling safer. You are interested in
driving cyclists off the road, if necessary by killing them. You
consider such murder justified on the sole basis that cyclists delay
your journey by as much as 30 seconds on some occasions.

The above post was not made by me: it was made by Brian Robertson - also

Hi Brian, can you show anywhere that I have written such statements?
