That is fewer than the estimated 66% of motorists who, given the
opportunity, will jump red lights.

And why shouldn't they? If nothing is coming, there is nothing wrong with running a red light. Why wait for someone who is not there? You use the lights when it's busy.

This is nothing to do with 'guesstimates' by a crackpot, it is real time
physical recording.

No no no, this was caught on cameras set up by London cabbies who see this
happening all day every day but are never believed. Not the anti-motorist
made-up stats careering around in your head. Try and understand the
difference.

Perhaps you could watch the unedited videos on Youtube and let us know how
near to 66% drivers reached. I bet it's not even 5%.

I saw this on the London news, they invited a cabbie's spokesman on, and
some stupid psycholist-friendly woman "personal injury compo solicitor" who
said that the filming was well out of order, and that it sends out the wrong
messages. She said that everyone should be working together to make the
roads safer, he said "Does jumping red lights make the roads safer?".
Typical psycholist attitude - it's never our fault.

The police & PCSO's have been at the crossroads outside Southwark
Station today, I saw many cyclists jumping the lights getting pulled over.
Tonight many were being pulled for no lights as well.
One excuse for no light was "the battery has run out"

While I was there there were two cars pulled for red light jumping & at
least four motorbikes stopped for being in the ASL.

I agree, but someone who makes the risk judgement to jump a traffic signal
has no grounds for complaint if it ends badly.

The trouble is the law assuming you're guilty until proven otherwise.
