Default womens sport in muslim countries

I should know better, but it is a genuine question.

We were watching some womens bike race, I think it was in Qatar, and
the wife commented that it was fecking hot and why did they all have
their jeyseys zipped (I was wondering too, but not the same reason
I made the assumption it was to do with islam and modesty, but of
course have no idea. I have read that in some islamic countries women
have their own sports facilities so that no men get corrupted; so no
beach volleyball then, let alone swimming! Who was that Dutch swimmer
that posed in that white suit....
I can't imagine Saudi allows any womens sport. As for Afghanistan in
the Taleban era I believe it was a capital offence to fly a kite let
alone ride a bicycle.

And. What _is_ this thing with Liz Hatch ?

There was a movie came out 10 years or so ago, "Roozi ke zan shodam"
or roughly translated from Farsi as, "The Day I Became a Woman"

Get it, Watch it

There'a a Womens bike race in it

Then you'll see why white men should fast track every raghead piece of
humanoid **** up to meet Allah

Just ask MM, that 16 year old Kurd girl from Turkey.
Oöps, sorry, you can't because she was found buried alive by her father
and grandfather last week ("by her father and grandfather" not referring
to "found" but "buried alive by")

What exactly was the question?

The practice of Islam is very varied, and this is just one
aspect of it, so there are Muslim countries with significant
women athletes (most of the one I can think of are
African/North African runners), and there are ones where
they have no women in international competitions.

And. What _is_ this thing with Liz Hatch ?

If a Masters Fattie expires while sprinting for a prime
in a 45+ crit, he goes to Heaven and spends eternity
with forty Liz Hatches, or something like that.

It's a dry heat.

And. What _is_ this thing with Liz Hatch ?

1) She is (among women's cyclists) arguably faster than anyone prettier,
and prettier than anyone faster. This inspires rbr in various ways.

2) Given her late start to serious cycling, she is simultaneously living
the 12k dream and a masters-non-fatty* made good. This inspires rbr in
various other ways.

3) ZOMG! Maxim photo shoot! Side-boobies! Dirty! (No really, she was
covered in dirt for many of the photos.)

That's pretty much it. For rbr, that's enough.

*The rarest kind of masters racer!

the imbd write up

Plot Summary for
Roozi ke zan shodam (2000) This is the story of women at three stages
of life in Iran. The first part centers on a young girl on her ninth
birthday who is told that she can no longer play with the boys she had
been playing with only the day before because she is now a "woman".
Told from the perspective of a nine year old "woman" who does not feel
like or know what that label refers to, we see how devastatingly this
affects both the girl and the boy with whom she had been friends. The
second part is about a young woman who decides to enter a bicycle race
against her husband's wishes. As first the husband and then increasing
numbers of men from the village ride beside her to convince her to
return home, the race begins to symbolize a freedom she desperately
wants from the limitations which have been placed on her. Finally, the
third part shows us an old woman who has come into some money and is
now free to do what she wants. The way she chooses to use this
freedom, however, makes one wonder just how free she is. Written by

Dunno. But filtering and deleting on 'Hatch' helps.
