Cyclist used lock and chain to batter pedestrian
The 42-year-old victim intervened in a verbal argument between two men,
a motorist and cyclist, at around 6pm on Saturday July 23. The cyclist then entered the victim’s garden and struck him with a bicycle chain and padlock hitting him several times causing bruising to his head and back. The suspect is described as white, aged in his early 50s, around 6ft 2ins tall, of stocky build and had grey hair worn in a side parting. He wore a pink vest with dark orange shorts and sandals. He was riding a silver Claud Butler mountain bicycle. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pc Ben Leaver at Southend Police Station on 101. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Should be possible to trace that one, but number plates would make it easier. http://www.yellowad.co.uk/article.cf...rchyear =2016 |
