I expect that my home insurance covers me for public liability

Cyclists are more likely to live in rented homes, and therefore are
far less likely to have any insurance, which explains why cyclists try
and run away after any crash.

Do you have a cite to back up your claim of: "Cyclists are more
likely to live in rented homes" ?

He saw an article in a newspaper about a cyclist that did something wrong.

30 Aug 2017 - In fact, according to the Motor Insurer's Bureau
(MIB), there are currently one million uninsured drivers on
Britain's roads - that's one in every 38 ...

These drivers should have number plates on so they can be
traced....oh wait!.. they have....hmm!

Yeah right. Were you ever insured when you rode your silly bicycle?
Of course not.
Are you insured when you ride your E bike thing? Of course not.

I am not breaking any law by not insuring my bike
, you have no argument.

I do not need to insure my house, but I do so. And for legal cover.
I do not need to insure my car for legal cover, but I do so.
But as you are a cyclist .................

What does the public liability section of your home insurance cover
you for?
Mine covers me for everything other than motor vehicles and power boats.

Our home insurance and CTC membership gave us cycle insurance, but now
we have retired to Costa Rica I am not so sure.

Costa Rica? When did you move and why, if I may ask?

The reason I ask is Costa Rica is prone to a number of natural

disasters including earthquakes, landslides, floods and even tsunamis.
Although the cost of living is relatively cheap and it is a beautiful
Island.

It's warm here all year round.

Does Costa Rica have loads of potholes like here?

We go for a walk in the forest every day. House cats Mimi and Beauchamp snooze while free range cats Pounder, Cheerful and Nugent follow in the hope we will feed them before dinner. They usually give up at the 1/4 mile mark and go home, some cats have no stamina.
