Default Cyclist hospitalised after hit and run in Staines

Man arrested.

A cyclist has been left with "potentially life-threatening injuries" after a collision with a car on Wraysbury Road, in Staines.

The driver of a blue Chrysler failed to stop at the scene.

Surrey Police have arrested a 41-year-old man in connection with the investigation.

The crash took place on Wraysbury Road, in Staines, and has led to both lanes being closed by police.

Initially, only part of the road had been closed off, but SurreyLive understands that the whole road was closed by police officers to allow an air ambulance to access the scene. The road remains closed while emergency service are at the scene.
