Any of You Do Trikes -- in A Metro Area, Too??

Hey, trikes do look like lotsa fun! More expensive, hmm. Anyone in
NYC (or some other metro area) do trikes? Besides poor Jeff Grippe
(hope all is well).

Just wondering. Links, etc., much appreciated. Don't expect to get
into this for another decade at least -- and can't really imagine where
I could ride, or how to transport such a contraption through the
subways if necessary (hey, any you two-wheeled 'benters take the train
with your bikes?) -- but it's an interesting idea which I think most
girls would take to much more gladly than a 'bent, basically on account
of the obvious safety thanks to three wheels...indeed, I think I read
somewhere that trikes sell mostly to females!

You would not believe how many trikes are around NYC. There are trikes
that fold and can be carried on the subway. My trike fits in my Hyundai
Santa Fe and there is plenty of room. Some trikes have very small
wheelbase and the width is narrow. Mine is 32" wide, but no it doesn't
fold and the subway is out. If you try this forum

I ride a trike, but I certainly do not "do" trikes.

The girls I wind up meeting are almost always scared or uncomfortable
when it comes to bike-riding, so trikes seem like a nice way to get

Up to a point. I was playing on an HPVel Scorpion on Saturday, and
while they're fun I don't personally find them particularly more fun
than a bike. Mileage varies, of course, but don't assume you'll really

Yes. Check with the train company what their general cycle policy is
and if there are any limitations.
