Some ****wit decided they'd state headlamps on cars should be 55W, and measured it by power consumption, not realising that someone might invent something more efficient in the future. Now we have LEDs, we have cars with ****ing searchlights on the front capable of reaching Mars. Precisely. There are some LED driving lights for bikes that can reach Mars and start a fire there. I've been thinking of mounting a set, mostly to see that damn deer lurking in the shadows but they might come in handy for assholes that don't understand the concept of low beams. |

I had a car with DRL. I got pulled over by a cop who alleged ifthe headlights were on and the tail lights weren't. the tail lights must be broken. "Listen, you silly ****, did you get out of cop school yesterday?' The cop was correct, if a car has headlights on when the tailights aren't, then it's designed wrongly. Not with DLRs. I don't think they are mandatory in this country yet but they are in Canada. What I found annoying was at dusk you would think your headlights were on but they really weren't. |

Round here, next to a primary school, they've rebuilt the entire junction (they claim for safety) and not put any kind of markings on it at all. Nobody knows which road has priority and I've seen several near misses and hooting of horns. One day some kids are going to be squashed and I hope a council moron gets jailed for manslaughter. I've been avoiding a project that's been going on all summer but I finally took that street. It's great! They replaced two straightforward entrance/exit ramps with two small roundabouts back to back. It's a hoot on a bike! Unfortunately roundabouts are not native to this part of the country and people don't deal with them too well. Roundabouts are brilliant, no lights to wait for when there;s nothing coming the other way, there's always someone using the junction. And I love cutting in front of ****wits who don't bother indicating right (in your case I guess left). |

Agreed. I did in fact smash into another car the first time I saw a roundabout with lights, as I never realised they had such a stupid thing (they aren't in the driving test). I'm half way round the roundabout and I'm meant to stop? WTF? o a roundabout gives priority to those already on it, yet the lights do the opposite. Make up your mind paper pushing ****wits! |

Centigrade, Fahrenheit, take your pick. It's called being warm blooded. Put a tropical fish in cold water and it dies. Put a mammal in cold water and it shivers. |
