I'll be there. Having said that, if the ride is uber-long, I'll have
to pike at some point as I have to get home to my puppy, Simon. He's
the only living creature in the universe that loves me, so I kind of
have to be nice to him and stuff.

You could offer to ring my mum for me about going Sunday.

Come along Joel.

The Brisbane L@rd @rse ride is a training ride, but also social in
nature... Come and have a go - you won't be left behind........

PS - come on JH - what could be more important than a BLART?????

Sorry AH and Blarters, my partner has an optomitrist appointment at
9.00am. But I will be keen to get out on the road for the next ride
having spent many hours on the trainer and virtually no hours on the
road since mid-Feb, (yes, i read that part of a thread from little while
back, ie: triathletes/trainers/WTF)

Sorry again.. but having a think about it I should still be able to get
home in enough time, so i am still a potential starter.

I'll try and make it...I'm off work and the bike at the moment with a
very
dodgy eye but *might* be ok by saturday. Route suggestions? Maybe a run
out
to Sangate/Redcliffe.

That sounds OK - do you know the way?? I've never done that ride...

Maybe the 'shorter' option to Sandgate might be the go, to cater for
those who need to get back for other things (eg. dogs, optometrists...)

On Tue, 03 May 2005 at 23:13 GMT, LotteBum (aka Bruce)
was almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea:

I could be a possible starter, good move not having it on Mother's Day.
Will confirm later in the week.

Feh. Just feed him when you get home.

My super shy cat got to know my cat-sitter by the second day, and I
bet it was only because she was the food supplier.

I was going to compile a list of innovations that could be
attributed to Microsoft. Once I realized that Ctrl-Alt-Del
was handled in the BIOS, I found that there aren't any. --unknown

Yeah no worries, there's a few ways you can go. Maybe even drop by the
Nundah crit track for a few laps and do some sprints hey? The state crit
champs was on there on Monday. Took some pics:

Mark Frendo won the elite race, and reading www.cyclesportnews.com I see he
also won the MTBA Cross Country event the day before! Maximum Respec' !

Lots of people wrote about:

Date: This Saturday 7th May

Meeting place: Southbank end of the GoodWill Bridge.
Route: To be negotiated - all suggestions welcomed (note - the default
route, the "River Ride", will be used if no-one speaks up...)

Hi everyone! Well, I know A way to Sandgate... I don't know if it will be
too busy (I use the ICB)...

Sorry, I've been on course the last few days, no a.b! Eeek! I'm okay
though. I even went for a run through Toohey Forest.

I'll be there. I don't have time to read all the posts on this... but I'll
have about 18 bidons just in case it's a long ride.

Meanwhile, race photos. Okay, not many. I've only just started, but check
out my silver bullet:

If you take to carrying wpns when cycling, more people will love you!
Are you riding to the start point? Are we having a Southsider meeting
point?

Attention all BrisVegans!!

As has been mentioned a few times across various threads - its about
time we had another BLART.

All BrisneyLanders are expected to attend...

Meeting place: Southbank end of the GoodWill Bridge.

So come on LotteBum, Tam, JH, Backin2It, adam85, (apologies to those
I've almost certainly missed!!), plus any other 'lurkers' out there who
are keen to get together for a group ride.

So - who's in??

Cheers,
Absent Husband (whose calf muscle is healing nicely, so will be
there!!)

Actually, from Southbank, Wynnum/Manly/Lota is a nice ride also, and a
bit shorter. I have been that way twice... sure I can find my way. (The
back way to Mooloolaba was no trouble and I only went that way once, a
year ago.)

About the route:

we should try to be back in time for the 9.30 trip from King George
Square to Parliament House as a Wheels of Justice mirror ride... see
http://bicyclejustice.blogspot.com (and thanks to cfsmtb for posting
that)

Hey all,

I can't hang around for the WoJ mirror ride, as I have to be home in
time before my wife heads out to work...... If we finish early enough
(ha ha - as if...), I might bring the kids in and join the 'crowd'
(this will effect them in the future...)

I was gonna leave home about 6am and ride into Southbank. Happy to meet
anyone travelling down Logan Rd at, say, the Mitre 10 (Creek/Logan
intersection??).

Route-wise, I'm foot-loose and fancy-free (I'm so eeaaassy...). Are we
just gonna decide on the day?? Or will people only come dependent on
the actual route taken (in which case - see LotteBum's comments!!) Ummm
- aren't there more hills heading out to Wynnum...??

Looking forward to the ride - hoping this bizarro weather (and wind)
stops soon,
Absent Husband
