Another deliberate hit and run ramming of a cyclist by an impatientmotorist during London Critical Mass June ride.

A frequent occurrence, as reported by email. Such motorists just don't
care about cyclists at all.

"I was witness to the an incident at the junction of Devonshire Street
and Portland Place at approximately 19:41 or 19:42. A driver decided
to try and plough his way through, and hit a cyclist, and bent the
cyclists wheel beyond use and then sped off. Car reg was **** *** (I
think). It was grey. I called the police this morning on 101, to
report it and I'd be willing to be a witness if the cyclist wants to
take it further. I know quite a few people saw it. I didn't see the
driver, but if anyone did, that would be even better. The cyclist
should also make note of any CCTV that runs down Devonshire Street."

Surely this was just a motorist's peaceful protest as one of the 99% who
are.

Why should he be hunted and persecuted in this way?

It would appear that a group of cyclists set out to annoy motorists. It
seems they got exactly what they wanted, doesn't it?

So you think that annoying an impatient motorist justifies the
deliberate ramming of a cyclist by the use of a car as a weapon?

The cycles are being used as weapons, why not cars?

This is a fairly major junction controlled by traffic lights.

If the driver jumped the lights then s/he is bang to rights*.

OTOH if the lights were green for the driver then s/he was merely exercising
his right of way. Another road user ignoring the lights would be at fault
in an accident.

Of course "Critical Mass" is a protest where the protesters think the lights
should always be green for them and red for everyone else and it would seem
deliberately ignore them.

So whose fault was this accident - if it was an accident?
