If the story was made up it would be condemned as implausible.

Nicely shows the utter stupidity of cyclists in general.

Dave - Cyclists VOR. "Many people barely recognise the bicycle as a
legitimate mode of transport; it is either a toy for children or a
vehicle fit only for the poor and/or strange," Dave Horton, of Lancaster
University, wrote in an interim assessment of the Understanding Walking
and Cycling study. "For them, cycling is a bit embarrassing, they fail
to see its purpose, and have no interest in integrating it into their
lives, certainly on a regular basis."

I think you mean above average.

In developed countries it tends to be the more intelligent (and
wealthier) who take regular exercise by walking and cycling. In
developing countries it tends to be t'other way round.

But cyclists in the UK are foul mouthed, mean, lawbreaking, violent and
obstinate. Those are all traits in direct opposition to those of genuinely
wealthy and intelligent people. So it must mean that the UK is still a
developing country.
