Default Bike rentals in Tucson

I am thinking of spending a week in Tucson in late February. Anyone have any
recommendations for a place to rent a road bike? A mountain bike? Best
places to ride?

For some time I've been collecting information on user
experiences taking bikes on planes, trains, buses, boats,
etc. There's lots of stuff on RENTALS, folding bikes,
boxing, airlines, and railroads around the world and how to
ride in/out of about 120 airports.

See it at http://www.BikeAccess.net

Here's the Tucson entry from "Pete":

"Last winter I rented a bike from Tucson Bicycles. Talk to
Jessie or Gary. They have a good ride schedule. Check out
their espresso rides at:

Sometimes when I have looked at rental rates for bikes, it seems like it
would be cheaper to buy a cheap bike at a Walmart at your destination than
rent a bike. I would prefer my own bike, but rentals do not seem much better
than a cheap bike at Walmart. Once you are finished with the bike, you can
give it to Goodwill, or check Goodwill for a bike to buy.
