Was Lance palying head games?
"TritonRider" wrote in message ... From: "Sierraman" Date: 5/21/2004 6:00 PM Eastern If you're bored we could talk about womens cycling. I wonder why Go Finland didn't race in the Tour de L'Aude after CN reported that Luperini was favored to make a big effort there? I don't have to be bored to talk women's cycling. Any excuse is a good one. If you haven't noticed I'm the Lyne Bessette cheering section. Considering the the hassles she's had and the strength of the team 5th, currently, is pretty damn good. Dede is having a great race too. Someday someone will get a really good picture of her. A couple of years ago at a race she wasn't racing, she was in a black dress, sitting on a stone wall, just looking so exotic and Euro, reading a book. I don't think she was trying to create an "image", but it worked. Gotta wonder if Jeanson will ever reach this level, as long as she stays with Rona, I'd doubt it, and if she isn't with them I'm not sure how she does without the handlers. Not sure about Luperini but 3 T-Mobiles in the top 6 is a pretty damn good. Go Lyne Bill C Here's a photo of Bessette contesting the sprint with Luperini in the Tour De Berne. http://www.timjohnson.net/ontheroad/...yss_sprint.jpg http://www.timjohnson.net/ontheroad/2004/may3lyne.html |

... After reading today's Cyclingnews, I think he might just have been doing a bit more work, and might just be in better shape than we all thought. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news.php?...y04/may21news2 I wish that I thought Jan was doing the same. Gotta wonder if Lance isn't going to go for one more totally dominant performance just to make his case, then go home and play with Sheryl. Here's a clue Bill - he beat Chris Horner on Bald Mountain. If that didn't tell you something about his condition I don't know what would. |

Looks like sub 6% bodyfat, anyway. Can't say that for the Strudel King, Jan. |

First, probably at least 70% of the peloton is sub 6% bodyfat. Second, if the skinfold/caliper method is used, your bodyfat is not directly related to the measurements. (Going into Al Bundy mode) 10 years ago when I was on the US pursuit team and we had a month long training camp in Australia, by the end of the camp I had the lowest sum of skin thickness by measuring 7 sites. However, when factoring in age I was only mid pack because I was the oldest (about 12 years older than a couple of they other guys). Supposedly more fat is attached to your organs as you get older. I don't know if the tables are specifically for endurance athletes or just the general population, though. |

Perhaps I'm being deceived but at the Tour Formerly Known As The Midi Libre LANCE is looking kinda sleek if you know what I mean and I'm sure that you do. |

Yeah, Dede is hot, but don't look too close or you might notice her twisted buckteeth, which she needs to take some of her race earnings and head to the specialists for either train tracks or some vaneers. Yeah, but she could make it work for her, like the actor Steve Buscemi. Steve -- Mark & Steven Bornfeld DDS http://www.dentaltwins.com Brooklyn, NY |
