impossible for the criminal on the bike to have been visible to his
victim at such close quarters and that it is connected to

Is it or is it not not more likely the alleged perp was a pedestrian who used a SUV as a getaway vehicle?
Do you deny it would be easier to identify pedestrian criminals if they had compulsory registration numbers clearly displayed at all times?

getaway (and approach) vehicle.
