One of my workmates has no brakes at all.
They would spoil the clean lines of the bike.

Cheerless at his best.

The link makes no mention of brakes, but the absence of facts never
stops Cheerless.

As unreliable as ever

So he is yet another ****wit from Hull who breaks the law; I really can't
believe that they are all ****wits - is it just you and your mates?

Simon Mason - who cycles at 25mph in 20mph limits just because the limits do not apply to cyclists.
This includes exceeding the speed limit past three schools. A total disregard for the well-being of vulnerable road users.
The actions of a true psycholist.

Judith,

Was it yesterday or the day before you posted shock at the language
people used?

Also, if you had either, you would know the difference between mates
and workmates.

Correct - I don't even know the bloke.
He must have massive legs to turn that gear over though :-)

Oh really - what was that?

Or have you just made it up.

Here are the comprehensive "cycling is dangerous" figures which you requested

(Have I said : you are excellent value?)

DfT latest: UK Per billion passenger kilometres
Killed : Pedestrian 26 Cyclist 21
KSI: Pedestrian 319 Cyclist 547
All: Pedestrian 1420 Cyclist 3444

Which is by far the most dangerous?

He must be stupid to ride at high speed without any brake.

I am surprised you have not commented on the legality of the bike: or is it who
actually owns the bike which is important in such comments?

(PS You seem to have forgotten that you have actually seen the guy - so no need
to speculate about him)

The bicycle in the photograph is a trackcycle. It has a fixed wheel
and requires no mechanical braking device: to stop you simply apply
reverse or back pressure with your legs. It is quite safe.

This bloke's legs could stop a train - I remember he passed me last
week.
