You have to be *very* careful these days, as some people will soon find out.
Who do we know who dishes out "homophobic abuse"? And calling someone a monkey is very tame in comparison to the abuse I received from JMS as the police duly noted. QUOTE: A MAN was given community service after racially abusing a Desperate Scousewives star on Twitter. Jon Grimes, from Kirkby, yesterday pleaded guilty at Liverpool magistrates' court to sending offensive communications to Layla Flaherty, a model and one of the stars of the E4 "reality" show. Grimes called Dublin-born Layla, 28, a "monkey" and "a f***** monkey" during a drunken rant on Twitter. The 27-year-old, of Bedale Walk, sent the "self-confessed Scousewives man-eater" four messages at around 12.15am on December 6. When one of her Twitter followers hit back at Grimes, he was met with homophobic abuse. When the matter was reported to police, they tracked down Grimes. He was arrested on December 29 and admitted sending the messages, claiming he was drunk at the time. He apologised to the former psychology student and expressed remorse and was sentenced to 100 hours' unpaid work and £85 costs. Martin O'Shea, MD for Layla's management agency, Money North, said: "We got the police involved because we feel that people shouldn't be allowed to sit at their computers and say things like this, committing hate crime, and get away with it. "We are delighted with the police investigation and it sends the message out that hate crime is hate crime, whether it is done to someone's face or by someone sat on a computer keyboard. "No-one deserves this and we are glad someone has been brought to justice for it." After the hearing, Merseyside's top prosecutor spoke out about the dangers of misusing social media. Paul Whittaker, Chief Crown Prosecutor of CPS Merseyside-Cheshire, said: "We are seeing more and more instances of people using social media in a way which has the potential to undermine prosecutions or even put them at risk of prosecution. "What many people may not realise is that posting information on social media means that the information is effectively in the public domain and can be viewed by anyone. This can expose the user to arrest and prosecution if their activity breaks the law, like this case. "The irony is that the defendant tweeted his way to a conviction by posting the evidence to build a case against him." http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liver...0252-30161482/ -- Simon Mason |

Yes, I am considering reporting you to police for some of the insults you have hurled out at other people. You should be careful what you say Mr. Mason. |

I am truly amazed that the three of Hull's finest have not got round to questioning me - or even had the decency to telephone. Any news on Porky's ****-up yet :-) |
