Ah yes... that old favourite: the abrupt switching of metric half-way
through the "calculation".

You can get any result you want like that.


All you had to do was ask, and someone would have converted it for you. No
need to get all angry because you don't know which is which.

1000 / 1.609344 = 621.3 miles.

Still over ten times the UK figure.
