This lone eagle of which I speak must also reside on a mountain top
isolated from all the rest of the world. The lone eagle does only one
thing ... it stares into the ether. If you would be Great, that is what
you must do.

if that's what eagles really did, they'd starve

"Would he contribute, would he stay on and weed the garden, repair the roof
and snake out the line from the plugged-up toilets to the half-dug septic
field ... or would he just work his way through the women, smoke dope and
drink cheap wine all day and then show up for meals with a plate in his
hand? These were smiles with an edge."-Drop City, TC BOyle

Er Ed, those are flies, not a halo!

Great minds I guess, since I made the same observation.

Yeah I was really looking forward to some more replies, , anything, just
for acknowledgement about the halo, but the silence was deafening. HAHA!
I bet he goes right back to the kitties and predictions right away.

Marika, the scatterbrained nincompoop, strikes again! I am just devastated
of course. I will never recover from this blow to my ego.

It sounds like she is getting to you.

Way to go Marika/

why would anyone expect someone to feel insulted by a statement that they
are going back to their kitties?
I apologize for your feeling maligned because I guessed that you would be
going back to your kitties.
sheesh what a touchy guy

I can never forgive for your transgression against My Greatness! My cats are
also greatly insulted and are acting most peculiarly in so far as I can
determine. They appear to be sulking and won't eat any of the food that I
so generously provide for them. Nay, you have crossed a line from which
there is no turning back. Even Tom Sherman and JimmyMac I know are outraged
at this insult to my royal cats. If I were you, I would be very careful
indeed what you say about cats in general and my cats in particular!

Mr. Sherman and I have a perfect understanding of one another - which is
more than I can say for you and I.

Thank you for that information. Is there a webinar I can attend to learn
more about this

Just read the archives of ARBR on Google Groups for the past 5 years and
that alone will be enough to make you wish you had never been born.

While I enjoy reading Tom's posts, can't contribute to much he says.
Unfortunately I can talk only about transportation and its ills
generally rather than bikes specifically, because I can't drive never
mind bike.
Consequently, I will take my chances at poking fun at you instead

Good luck on that! However, I highly recommend that you acquire some wit
before you emabark on a project that is clearly over your head.

Why can't you drive or bike? Are you crippled in body as well as mind?

I can't see well enough

Even so, you are not blind are you would not be pestering me on Usenet. Just
get some glasses for driving and all will be well. Half the idiots here in
Minnesota who are driving motor vehicles seem to be blind if you ask me!
[...]

Try to model yourself after the Virgin Mary. After you have done that,
there will be plenty of time to talk about Sarah Palin. But just for the
record, I like Sarah. She is my kind of gal! It is that ****ing Hillary
that I can't stand!

but Sarah Palin is nothing like the Virgin Mary. Plus which according to
your rules about females, she is too feeble to be in politics

Sarah is fine with me. She is a normal female who puts her family above
everything else. Who could ask for anything more. I would trust her with my
life which in the end is what politics comes down to.

Marika, JimmyMac is not for you. He is already married to a shrew of a wife
who fancies herself a psychologist and besides he has two poor old
longsuffering hound dogs which occupies all of his time.

Marika ... the misogynist Dolan, as he often does, has run his mouth
knowing of my wife or my dogs for that matter, having never met
neither. Anyonw who knows my wife would tell you that she is the
furthest thing from a shrew. Oh, and he is WRONG too about me owning
several pricey recumbents. I have ONE and it is not inexpensive, but
it is only half as pricey as my upright.

wiser to consider Tom Sherman of ARBR. He is a civil engineer, unmarried and
rich as all get out. He also has several very pricey recumbents. I would be
your best bet of course (even though as poor as a church mouse), but We
Great Saints have taken vows of chastity. We leave the hoi polloi to their
sexually transmitted diseases. The only thing that matters to Us Great
Saints is Purity of Essence and our Precious Bodily Fluids.

"My cats"? I expect they think the ownership role is reversed.

P.S. I am typing this while two cats are sitting on me.

Just as I suspected, nothing but a hodgepodge of fields dependent on what
professors are handy at the moment. I wonder who would be stupid enough to
waste their time and money at such a limited Graduate School? Loyola
UNIVERSITY? Give me a break!
A hodgepodge of fields dependent on what professors are handy at the

moment? *Thanks for for putting your ignorance on display for all to
laugh at. *And the school of higher learning from which you graduated
is? *Never mind. *It matters not. *Like I said several time before,
this is not pertinent to the discussion at hand. but like most
threads, when hard pressed, Dolan deliberately attempts to change the
subject rather than suffer public humiliation (read confirmation for
being the fool). *Now back to the subject at hand ... when are you
going to become a true hermit and pull the pull the plug on your PC???

Has it ever occurred to anyone but me that there are entirely too many
institutions of higher leaning that are sponsored or otherwise run by Roman
Catholics?

This diversionary effort fails to answer the question ... when are
you
going to become a true hermit and pull the pull the plug on your
PC???

Another tangent??? Stay focused if you are capable of staying focused
that is.

It is part of the general brain washing of course that the Holy
Roman Catholic Church is forever engaged in. Get 'em while they are young
and you have 'em for life!

The Great Ed Dolan, unlike JimmyMac, had brains enough not to attend such an
institution as Loyola where the main thing that takes place is
indoctrination.

Opinion stated as fact.

All those religion and theology courses - what a total waste
of time and energy. Only the Jesuits could be so dumb as to require it of
their students.

I see you are unfamiliar with with the courses required ... why am I
not surprised.

Ed Dolan is the Greatest Hermit who has ever lived. JimmyMac is jealous of
course.

Don't flatter yourself. You've shown me nothing thus far that I would
have reason to be jealous of. I'll say this again... hermits do not
have computers and internet connections.

He is stuck with a shrew of a wife whom he has to placate in order
to keep the peace. Well, he can write about whatever he wants to write about
and I will do the same.

There is no need for anyone to be stuck with another. IF y wife were
a shrew, I would have left her long ago, You know nothing of her or
our relationship so you can cut the crap and spare yourself further
embarrassment.

And one other thing, Dolan fancies himself to know about my wife whom
he has never met. My wife does not fancy herself to be a
psychologist, but she is presently doing her therapist internship.

She has to be as crazy as you are to stay with you. The two of you can go to
