That is EXACTLY what I was saying to my wife! And then the OTHER
frenchy in the break goes, and they just look.

Huh....the DS was frantically trying to get rid of the GC guys. Dont
tell me DZ and MK were GASSED! Come on!

My wife didnt believe me. But then, she is German and all they know is
Jan is "good".

Aerts explained it as follows in his postrace interview for Belgian
tv: when a time gap of less than 2 min was indicated he had just heard
over the radio that one or two sprinter teams had begun to cooperate
on the front of the peloton. That's when Calzati jumped and Aerts
concluded it would all be doomed anyway, no need to cover the move.
