Consecutive Grand Tour wins
Contador is up to 4 now. He has won every Grand Tour he has
entered since the Tour two years ago. If he defends his win in the Vuelta he will equal Indurain's mark of 5. (1991 Tour, 1992 Giro, 1992 Tour, 1993 Giro, 1993 Tour, 3rd place in the 1994 Giro) I believe the record is 7, which ended with this year's Giro. Bob Schwartz |

I was planning on watching at least one more of the three remaining stages. DR |

Taking 2nd in the 1975 Tour broke the string. If the Italians had not bounced him for dope in 1969 it'd have been 11. Bob Schwartz |
