Another waste of effort
"There is a lot of inconsiderate cycling.................action group will
now work to educate cyclists on cycle safety." Cyclists cannot be educated. They should be punished, FPN for first offence, crushed bike for second and subsequent occurrences. http://www.getbracknell.co.uk/news/s...r_to_mot hers |

"With kids rushing around on bikes, someone’s going to have an accident." And why are they on the pavement? Is it more fun than the road? No it isn't (generally speaking). Pavement cycling is primarily the result of the enormous growth in motor vehicle traffic over the last few decades. It has been a reaction. It does not come out of nowhere, and it is not the result of some innate evil. Now it has become accepted behaviour for too many. When I was young we did not do it. It was not acceptable, nor was it a survival strategy. The only time that I ever did it was late one dark evening when my front light failed. I rode home on the pavement with care, and a sense of guilt. |

Good job that Cheerless never sees any cyclists at all these days, so he will be 100% safe from a graze to the ankle. At least caused by a cyclist. -- Simon Mason |
