If they are knowingly doing something wrong it is probably best to get as much separation from them as possible. Yes, I can only agree with that. Better to take it out on the ignorants that infest this group. |

Please don't refer to them as that, yes many are mentally challenged, but they are, after all, cyclists, so you must cut them some slack. |

I doubt whether an infestee can infest its own habitat. How many cars have you crashed in your time? If you're trying to turn poacher to gamekeeper it would be interesting to see how you would be treated in what ought to be your natural habitat. |

We know little of "Mr Cheerful"'s ability on a bicycle; it might even be non-existent. That might go a little way towards explaining his total lack of concern for vulnerable road-users. Personally, I think he's a sociopath. -- Bah, and indeed, Humbug. |

Personally, I think he's a sociopath. I have good abilities at riding a bicycle, motorcycle, car, vans, and even LGV1 I taught motorcycle roadcraft for many years and have undergone advanced Police driving courses and I am very proficient on the skidpan. I am very careful not to run anyone over or crash into anyone. It ****es me off when incompetents **** the system up by breaking every rule in the book and even those of common sense, most often this is demonstrated by cyclists, which is why I will no longer ride a bicycle on the road. It is just too embarassing to be associated with the rabble of scum that ride bicycles nowadays. I drove a few miles today, and during that time I saw 6 cyclists and everyone of them was breaking the most basic law of the road, by riding on a footway. Bicycles could be great again, but only if they are regulated and controlled. |

Most people don't make a habit of crashing and, by a combination of luck and judgement, quite a few get through a lifetime. In the past, you have admitted to crashing. How many of them are going to be looking at uk.rec.cycling? Bicycles could be great again, but only if they are regulated and controlled. Plenty of rules already exist over the use of bicycles on public roads. A system that isn't broken - people getting around without harming anybody - doesn't need fixing. |

Oh, he probably does have concern for vulnerable road-users. It is rather curious why he does not direct his energies at those that are actually harming vulnerable road users. Personally, I think he's a sociopath. His method of posting just makes one want to say "stuff you" and liable to promote anarchy in an audience. It would produce the same reaction if he posted equivalent stuff on motoring groups. He doesn't because an audience of peers would be much less tolerant. |
