Default Marzocchi dust wiper lubrication - the official word!

So, I e-mailed Marz about my question. Two days before I asked here.
Silly me - why didn't I just know that they'd take their damn sweet
time about answering my question for free?!?

So, here's the official response:

"We recommend lubing the seals with a synthetic fork oil. We use the
same
stuff we put inside the fork, Golden Spectro brand. You can use
silicone
grease, but it will have to need to be cleaned from between the seals
eventually. Fork oil is best because it works with the oil inside the
fork.

Take care,

Seems totally reasonable to me. And notice they don't use "Marzocchi
Oil" but Spectro Golden. Which costs about half as much, where I
shop. As Wheeler might say - "nice." Or "Get a singlespeed, they're
great." Whichever fits.

I let some more air out of that fork, and damn if it isn't nearly as
plush as my coil-n-oil Z2 BAM. With more travel. And longer legs.
Since it's so nice out, I think I'll bug out and ride today, just 'cuz
I feel like it!

Again, thanks to all who replied - I am still going to use the
silly-cone spray on the stantions, just to make them dirt- and
water-repellant.
