Default Not Quite Canal Motoring

A couple of fire trucks passed me a few hours ago. I couldn't see any smoke for miles and suspected another canal motorist. When I arrived at the intersection they were all there, highway patrol, ambulance, EMT guys with a stretcher, etc. I was sure someone had driven into the canal. As I cycled by I looked but there was no tow truck, just a couple of wrecked cars perched on the banks of the canal.
