LONDON, England -- American cycling superstar Lance Armstrong has confirmed that he will be taking part in this year's Tour de France as he bids for an unprecendented seventh victory in a row. The decision, announced by his Discovery Channel team on Wednesday, ends speculation that Armstrong would skip the Tour to concentrate on other major events. His 2005 racing schedule includes the Tour de France, next month's Paris-Nice classic, the Tour of Flanders and the Tour of Georgia in the United States. ------------------------------------------------- Read it at http://edition.cnn.com/2005/SPORT/02...ing.armstrong/ J. "Musashi" wrote in message ... Was there ever really any doubt? It just took awhile for the Discovery Channel and their cadre of scumbag lawyers to beat him into submission. I'm sure they wouldn't have bothered to sponsor the team if they weren't eager to see their logo on a yellow jersey in Paris at least once. Considering it's the only bike race that gets any mainstream press whatsoever, there has been a lot of nervous peeps at the Discovery Channel headquarters for the last 7 months. H. |

Discovery is looking for worldwide market. Any team that sponsors cycling does well in Europe within a year or two. Look at AMD for the last two years...( http://makeashorterlink.com/?M18C21E7A ). Didn't Diavitamon double in size within two years? |
