Police say that on May 28 several cyclists had eggs thrown at them whilst they were travelling through the Selby area.

A shocking image shows a cyclist with egg all over their face and blood pouring from wounds.

The offenders were said to be travelling in a white transit van with roof bars.

The shocking attack took place while the cyclists were on Hillam Common Lane just after 6pm.

Selby Neighbourhood Policing Team are appealing for anyone with information or dash cam footage to come forward.
