I pity the poor man. He's probably like me, completely incapable of
taking in anything other than the point a few meters ahead where he is
directing his bike with all his earthly concentration.

Quite. I'm not so sure acting "smug" towards other cyclists is a very
encouraging trait :-(

Lighten up Elisa - you missed the smiley at the end of the post.

I thought Elisa's post was rather light-hearted.

Perhaps she should have put a smilie at the end just to make sure

I took Elisa's comment to be humourous. But perhaps she does need all
her earthly concentration to ride a bike and falls off whenever it is
distracted.

Elisa, are you new at cycling? If so, congratulations on your achievement,
and think of one day, when you can pass wafflycat with the ease that she
passed you.

Elisa and her cycling tribulations and triumphs have been a regular here
for two and a half years.

Erm, wc didn't pass Elisa.

Although she did seem to miss the humour in Elisa's post.

He's probably just cycled 20 miles with a good few hundred metres of
ascent!
