Why would you want to carry half a cat?

Maybe you could help by listing what you've got so far. Is it just a
frame and a pair of gear levers or have you already got some other
bits?

ooh lots, they are nice shifters by way, in either friction or indexed
mode.

i bought a old ebay bike for beer money, to see if i'd like a road bike,
but have ended up dragging it, into the 21st century but with some of
the looks and feel of the old bike still. it's a nice compromise.
