Forget the space shuttle, all you need is a bicycle and a Hors category
climb:

" Hors Category is long and steep. The altitude difference is at least
1000km and an average grade of 7% or more."

I see a good justification for mandatory helmets.

That's over 14,000 horizontal km too. Might need a few pub stops along
the way.
