That's the Hummer bike, rebranded (again). We'd be better off giving

Those have been static line test-jumped for paratroop use. A former
CCT friend of mine was one of the volunteers on the jump. The
portability does not outweigh the durability in this case, unless you
want a one or two mission "bike". I'd hate to be hoofing after
pretzeling one of those on mildly technical terrain. My idea of a good
bike for combat use would be a solid SS with a flip-flop for gearing to
fit the mission, have them being dropped in a door bundle, and only
used in environments that called for SUT. I hear Afghanistan has some
killer trails in the mountains.

I doubt the soldiers could handle SSing unless it was a 32/20 or something.

I'm not talking about regular ground-pounders, hence the reference to
SUT (Small Unit Tactics).

That's the real reason we've sent our boys and girls over there. Not to
fight terrorism, to find the killer singletrack.
