Is it any wonder? Most of what's posted here is ignorant
drivel by wannabe

so help them get there

or can't-cut-it cyclists,

perhaps if you helped them?

vindictive Lance
Armstrong haters,

saves looking at the gubberment,I suppose.

uninformed couch potatoes

inform them.

and other
inane blabbermouths with nothing worthwhile to say.

perhaps itt be the listener?

The
only decent posts I've read in the past several weeks were
by "Free Willy"

that could attract the wrong kind of attention in a public park after
sunset.

and he was called all sorts of names including
"troll' when he was about the only one talking about racing.

I raced on the road long ago, never won once. One had to have an
exceptionally good day to make it in the park crits, effin cat 2s
controlled the racing.on a tight circuit. didn't have the
acceleration at that time to jump them. I worked out how to cycle so
that I could make those jumps but years had already passed and then
illness forced me to slow down. effin anoying when I was riding so
slow I fell, on flat ground. Don't even know wether I'll likely take
up masters racing, seems unlikely, for the road, but possibly may have
some joy on the track if I can get myself healthful. I'll be 50 in 5
years and hope to be able to run a raisinoble pace by then and maybe
do some pursuit riding, if that's an option.

so I'm a wannabe, I can't cut it and nearly a blabbermouth, that
doesn't really bother me. I still have a passion to be involved and
my mum used to criticize me and say I was addicted. Well it was my
mum who put me on a tricycle before I walked. Some doctorst reckoned
I should have been walking at two. I denied them and they've had it
in for me ever since. I do remember liking that trike, much better
than crawling and I had a turn of speed then, I remember getting more
than halfway down the street with my mum running after me. Pity the
story doesn't unfold like a dream, I didn't have a constant
progression of bikes and didn't get involved as a juvenile or junior
racer as their was no-one in the family was involved in cycling or
recognised my passion at the time. the other kids in the street were
all older bar one so I got a regular beating when we had our own
races. when Isussed out it was only the hill wee they made ground,
trained on it, going wth all my might. when I started beating them,
at 12 years old, they stopped riding I should have been introduced
to a club then, but they kept quiet about my wins and I was otherwise
busy hanging around the record shop, the milk bar and amusement
arcades. What a fookin waste.

here's me, go on, knock me down!

| But people seem to prefer moderated email lists these days.

| can so many be so scared of challenging opinions?
| my views change and I've already been dismissed from at least three
| moderated goups for expressing my challenging opnions.

I wouldn't worry about it. Davey got kicked off a notorious
supposedly nationalist forum and out of the organizatiion too
for saying "England for the English, France for the French and
Poland for the Poles" - Laffz - They turned out to be anything but
"Nationalist" and were/are Pan-European which is just a step away
from NWO multiculturalism. And in any case, they seemed to be
mostly a bunch of Keyboard Kommandos.

| Join Davey's list

| what do I get out of it?

What you put into it

| what do you get out of it? who can see

Satisfaction

| it? is it public?

Yes and currently unmoderated. However, if if should attract UCE
(SPAM) in significant amounts, it might have to go to moderation.
Additionally there are several domains that are blocked from
Davey's email as spy networks.

| will my thoughts be guaranteed to live on for 250 years?

Nope, only so long as Davey keeps the posts although I suppose he
could archive the older stuff and possibly index it.

|
| just email with subject "subscribe" [or
| "unsubscribe" if you want off.]

| trouble is I've not bothered to set up a newseader and forgot how so
| am using googlegroups.

This is not an NNTP project - it's strictly email.

|
| Rules? There aren't any

| what's the exceptions?

Davey will appraise the posts and issue a warning if he considers
the post inappropriate. But it would have to be really way out
before that happens.

Preferably discussion and not argument.

Otherwise it's totally open to biking on Road, CC or Track or
Touring

Some people read the group but don't post (or only rarely post, e.g.,
moi).

Usenet lives.

I sometimes like to pick a group of random words and see what pictures
they can generate. In my inebriated state last night, I suspected
the group of words so presented before me showed a reasoble promise of
entertainment. Google photo search, guided by the search string "on
the facebook now ****ing myspacers" failed to provide the
entertainment I was wanting. I am seeking alternative solutions to
satisfy my desires.

You see, I found out I don't like Calvin Harris and his croaky
"singing". Not entertained, merely occupied.

Rather than carry on soaking up the drivel I tuned into John Kay and
found something new, for me, to listen to. Endless Commercial

Entertained and informed.

Still waiting

And believe it or not, that is a pretty good takeoff of how some
of the indiginous denizens of that once great place spoke the
Queen's English before the Capitalists discovered "Offshoring".

But at least **** like this is better than reading about the
"Trials and Tribulations of a Super******", about which nobody
with an IQ in the double digit range gives a monkey's toss, and
it generates some posts which, presumably in accord with the OP,
was why I posted it anyway.
