Default Lance Armstrong - Victim and Fall Guy?

Lance is a dumbass to come out and confess to chronic, long-term
doping, if indeed that's what he actually does, without putting it in
some sort of perspective.

What Lance needs to do in conjunction with any such confession is
to claim he had no other choice given the parameters enforced upon
the sport by the UCI and WADA. Lance needs to strongly assert that
all he and his team ever did was work diligently to abide by the
controls and guidelines put forth by UCI/WADA. He should claim that
he and the team all worked within the parameters that were set forth
and did so quite successfully considering how they, for the most part,
passed the controls hundreds of times.

Armstrong should assert that all the teams and individuals labored
under the same framework of rules and regulations because that was
the responsible thing to do. The guidelines were just that - guidelines
and not outright prohibitions. The outright prohibitions were also
written down and followed to such an extent that rarely was their
a serious infraction.

Rather than appear a rebel out to grab as much for himself as
possible Lance should take the stance of a dedicated team player
who only used such tools that were allowed under the rules in order
to be and stay competitive with those other athletes who were
playing on the same field, so to speak.

Why Lance would NOT do this is beyond my understanding. Why
would Lance willingly be the fall guy and willing victim of the very
system that created the conditions that existed in professional
cycling in Lance's days? It should be UCI/WADA on trial for
making a total mess out of things to the extent that athletes who
followed their guidelines end up taking the total blame for the
bureaucratic ineptitude and impotent system of controls.

But, perhaps Lance sees the writing on the wall and knows by
his experience with the US federal government that a bureaucracy
is never held accountable for their misdeeds and/or ineptitude. It's
always blamed on somebody or something else so being a victim
is nothing to be ashamed of because it is part and parcel of living
outside the bureaucracy. Besides, in this day and age, being a
victim eventually gets you kudos in a liberal world. All the bleeding
hearts will be blubbering and thinking, "Oh the poor fellow." What
better show than bleeding heart Oprah to start the ball rolling in
the right direction?

I agree with this poast.

It figures. The chronically clueless tend to *feel alike.* (Notice
how I did not use the word *think alike.*)

I have a suggestion. If you would seriously attempt to engage
in debate please take a remedial reading course or two - in
your case and in Jane Doe's several semesters of such
courses are indicated.

I have a suggestion, don't be a total ****wit all your life, take a day off now
and then, give everyone a break.
