Crazy Truck Driver Takes out Race Presentation
During stage 5 of the Giro Della Toscana, just before the award
presentation, some truck driver who has nothing to do with the race got onto the course somehow and drove across the finish line. While doing so, he took out the banner, the PA equipment and 100 meters of fencing. I haven't seen any photos or the offical story yet, maybe in the local papers of the Tuscany region of Lucca around Capannori. The damages are estimated around 40,000 Euros.

Calling this truck driver "crazy" is a bit presumptuous. And like General Turgidson, I hate to judge before all the facts are in.
