As RBR's only resident winner of both the US Open and the TdF I can
unequivocally state that golf is not a sport.

Works for me. Also, Tiger is hoping to come back from an incident that
hurt his knee.

Eddy came back from an accident that KILLED HIS PACER!

So yeah, Eddy.

Yes, we know his pacer was mortally wounded but how badly was Eddy
injured in that accident?

From http://www.dailypeloton.com/displayarticle.asp?pk=7606

1970. ...Merckx said that he was never again the rider he was in 1969.
Late in the 1969 season he had a terrible crash on the velodrome in
Blois, France. He was in a derny-paced race. It was at night, under the
lights. The electricity went out momentarily and both Merckx and his
derny pacer crashed. The derny driver, Ferdinand Wambst, died. Merckx
suffered a cracked vertebra. Merckx said he never healed correctly and
that he always suffered back pains after the crash. Occasionally you can
see photgraphs and movies of Merckx adjusting his saddle in the middle
of a race, sometimes on the fly, as he tried to find some relief from
the pain. Merckx said that before the crash, climbing was a pleasure.
After it, he was always in pain.

AMC killed the Pacer, though I understand it was never very safe in
accidents.

Do I see some potential virtual victories here.

Merckx lost his bid for a 6th Tour to Bernard
Thévenet, who rode a new doping route to victory.
Once this was discovered the sport was crushed
into oblivion as sponsors fled in droves. The
sport never recovered.

Having a Tour winner revealed as a drug cheat
was the death blow. Only people in deep denial
about the impact of doping on team sponsorship
fail to realize that.

See? Creating your own reality is easy!

Rumsfeld and Cheney must have created that one while they were riding
their tandem.

Is that what the kids are calling it now?

Gee, Dad, of course I wasn't rump rangering Bobby! We were riding
tandem.
