Have a guess who BeHIT hired to front their annual charity bash? Let
me see: exaggeration, outright fabrications, deliberate attempts to
mislead Parliament - yes, their choice of Jeffrey Archer was strangely
appropriate!

I think "outright fabrications" is putting it a bit mildly. How about
"convicted perjurer"?

I was referring to BeHIT - Archole is the only speaker they could have
found who is a bigger liar than they are :-)

Bicycle Helmet Initiative Trust (BHIT).

Single issue group of zealots, led by Angela Lee, a Reading nurse, who
peddle falsehoods in the hope of implementing a mandatory cycle helmet
law.

Has there been any news report or web link to the recent BeHit shindig you
mentioned?
I haven't seen anything yet.

It was in the Reading Chronic. Probably of no interest to anyone
else. Or indeed Reading.

I was wondering whether they had wheeled out the Annetts case again in which
case my local rags are likely to be covering it.

Oh yes - BHIT and find out if your hamlet really does save your life. To be,
or not to be? That is the question.

It's somewhat amusing, following Ian Walker's recent research, that the
organisation that promotes the mandatory wearing of helmets is
appropriately called Be Hit!
