PSU is churning out lots of idiots who wander into the protected cycle path qua death chute in front of PSU. The argument against bike chutes is located right in front of the campus. The study used an on-line survey. Wow. Penetrating scholarship. Maybe there is more to it, but I didn't feel like signing up for the download. There clearly is increased antagonism towards cyclists, IMO created by traffic volume and population pressure. Pretty simple -- a bunch of stressed rats. -- Jay Beattie. |
