Default Dream/Film

I had a dream last night where a friend, who isn't a cyclist, had bought
Bertrand Russell's old bicycle. It was a bit of a wreck but he intended
doing it up and I said I'd help. It had a really strange device on the
chain rings. I'm convinced it was a potentially revolutionary drive
system but I couldn't figure out how it worked before I woke up. It's so
annoying!

I was watching Run Lola Run the other night (the reason I found (I was
going to say 'came across' there) Frivolous Lola on Amazon, honest) and
it included a small cycling segment.

The film, for those who haven't seen it, is about a 20 minute dash Lola
has to make to save her boyfriend's life. The same dash is repeated
three times with slightly different start condition on each. Thus the
interactions on each run are different.

In parts one and two she runs alongside a cyclist who tries to sell her
his bike. In the third she nearly knocks him off and he ends up selling
his bike to a tramp instead. The then bicycled tramp is key to her
boyfriend's salvation.

There is more running than cycling though.
