Cyclist angry as drivers ignore him after Finedon crash.

Mr Bettles said: “I was going along the A6 out of Finedon when this car
appeared out of nowhere" “Things happen all the time, I’ve had people
chasing me, shouting at me out of the car window and chucking things at
me but luckily I’ve never been knocked off before."

Perhaps there is something wrong with Mr Bettles road usage that annoys
people?

No, perhaps there is something wrong with the mentality of drivers.

Well he got this right at least:

"he added: “In our society the motorist is right 100 per cent of the time."

Bertie Wooster will be along presently to mock Mr Bettles' use of the
construction: "I was going along the A6 out of Finedon when this car
appeared out of nowhere".

After all, that would be a neat trick.

Yes, and thereby revealed your agenda. You don't give a **** about
deaths of cyclists. Your only aim is to persecute them off the road.

It reminds me of a scene in Back to the Future.

The description of the accident is inadequate, I shall not draw conclusions.

A cyclist acquaintance of mine once went to render assistance to a
pedestrian who'd just been driven over by a hit and run motorist in
London. Within seconds, the first of a succession of other motorists
had lowered their window to scream that they would run over him too if
he didn't get out of their way. We were never sure whether it was
because they were Londoners or motorists.
