Default Man in hospital with serious injuries after cyclist crashes into him

Walking helmets needed?

Police are appealing for more information after a cyclist collided with a man in south Manchester.

The incident occurred shortly before 11:10am on Monday February 17 on Albany Road near the junction with Wilbraham Road in Chorlton.

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a cyclist and an 80-year-old man.

The 80-year-old man suffered serious injuries to his head and back, and was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

The male cyclist, who is in their 20s, remained at the scene to speak with paramedics.

Police are now asking for anyone with dash cam or CCTV footage of the incident to get in touch.

Obviously a lie. Pounder tells us cyclists always flee the scene even when, as in this case, they are not at fault.
