Discuss. Julich's 3rd was/is a great result, and he's a great rider. Any twit here who says otherwise needs to cite their own results to compare to his. I don't need to cite my results. I only need to point you to Julich's palmares to demonstrate that his podium place in the Tour was a fluke. I don't agree with your assesment that his third was a fluke, Kyle. We can look at his palmares - '98 was a fairly good year for him (or anyone with those results). His day to day performances in the '98 TdF were consistently strong and got better as the race got to the end. I will certainly admit that his results were pretty sparse between '99 and '03. Of course, two of those years were on T-Mobile, the Black Hole of cycling. Plenty of people went to TM and disappeared - he was one of 'em. But look at his results for '04 and '05. Pretty damn good, no two ways about it. http://www.trap-friis.dk/cykling/usa.Julich.htm One doesn't have to be of equal or greater accomplishment to comment on others' performances. Yeah, that's true. To suggest otherwise is kind of dumb, actually. -- tanx, Howard Never take a tenant with a monkey. remove YOUR SHOES to reply, ok? |
