Oh about 2 minutes.

Nice comfy seats, radio, air con, protected from the weather, no effort
required, nice stereo, high status, high speed travel, intrinsically very
safe.

What a viable form of transport they are.

Really!?

I have heard it claimed that motor vehicle drivers are responsible for
more unnatural deaths than anything else.

What a viable form of transport they are.

not according to the 2008 figures:
18048 people died from external morbidity causes (not illnesses)
only 2676 of those died in traffic accidents of which 1111 were in their
vehicles. falling over killed 3459, 3438 killed themselves (intentional
self harm)

so as I read it vehicle accidents are the third major cause of people dying
through external causes, so it might be best to attack the two higher causes
of unnantural death before car driving.

since most people are too lazy to look up the figures they are he

And of course when you compare these figures to the 30,000,000 motorists
each doing an average of 10,000 miles a year - you get 'intrinsically very
safe'

I've heard it claimed that a ****wit cyclist thought it was a good idea to
overload a bike trailer by 200% and drive through complex junctions during
rush hour.

Of course, nobody would take any notice of a **** like that.

Only if there is an oil heater and there's someone to open and close

Not so.

I think you must be confused. Tom was referring to killings caused by
somebody else, mainly drivers of course.
