Default Another pavement attack.

Even a cyclist riding on the pavement would not have been safe.

"Car 'deliberately driven' at man

A man was injured when a car mounted the kerb and hit him in what
police believe was a deliberate attack.

The man, in his late teens, suffered a broken leg, bruising and
swelling above his eye as a result of the incident in Nuneaton, police
said.

He had been walking with three men, also in their late teens, in
Plough Hill Road, about 0015 BST on Saturday.

Police appealed for witnesses and said the white Vauxhall Corsa
involved would have sustained front-end damage.

Officers said the vehicle contained two men in the front and two women
in the back.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to George Elliot Hospital.

A Warwickshire Police spokeswoman said: "Police are treating this as a
deliberate action by the driver which has resulted in a serious
assault." "

Surely it must be attempted murder using a car as a lethal weapon as
well as the crime of driving on a pavement?

Yes Doug. And?

Don't you see? This is how *every* driver behaves.

(Fortunately, not on my planet though)

Yup. Or s 18 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861 (GBH with
intent) if the requisite intent to kill cannot be proven.

Did you have a point to make, Mr Bollen?

A perfect example of a 'cut n paste' post.
I am sure that my newsreader must be faulty, because it did not
display the point that you were making, could you help by reposting
your origional post.

Would you be posting in fury if the man on the pavement had been attacked
by a disabled cyclist wielding a baseball bat?

Possibility one;- You're simply a provocateur?
two;- You enjoy goading people?
three;- You are one of very many dangerous maniacs that we
cyclists have to endure out there?

What are we dealing with here please?
Because your sig file really ought to worry all of us and your "name" don't
sound too good either.
Please tell me it's one or two, because if it's three you need locking up
for public safety.

John
