Yup, I see lots of low intelligence drivers with phones stuck to their
ears.

Most people can multitask.

What is that annoying thing wavering on the windscreen?

The DAB antenna for my Garmin Nuvicam that picks up traffic jams and
gives you alternative routes or adds on time to your ETA.

Couldn't you have placed the antennae on the side of the screen where it
wouldn't be so intrusive? That would irritate me where it is.

In some American states, that would be illegal and would attract a
penalty. Same with GPS/Satnav: it has to be positioned so that the
driver cannot reach it whilst driving - again, in some states.

So you legally have to place it out of your way so it's difficult to look at? That law is counterproductive.

Bloody heck! why on earth have you got that satnav up so high. that is
blocking a lot of your view. The satnav looks almost the size of a small
computer monitor. That is ridiculous in my opinion.

It's close to the camera silly. I'd say it was the size of two small car air vents.

A man has six items in his bathroom: toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving cream, razor, a bar of soap, and a towel.
The average number of items in the typical woman's bathroom is 337. A man would not be able to identify more than 20 of these items.

Better than the one on my new Giulia where you have to copy the mobile phone nodders and look down at the console, which is where we came in.

I only listen to my satnav, that's what you are supposed to do. That's
the whole point of it *speaking* directions.

Easier to glance at the map for complicated junctions or large roundabouts.

I can give mine verbal instructions as well, but it doesn't understand this.

Two blondes are racing down a bumpy back road in a pretty beat up car down to a bank they're going to rob.
"Drive slower" pleads the one in the passenger seat, "I don't want all the nitro in the boot to explode."
"Relax," the driver replies, "even if it did, I've got a spare box under the seat . . . "

You have to place it in such a way that the driver cannot manipulate the
controls whilst the vehicle is in motion and he is in nominal control of it.

The law only applies to the type affixed to the windscreen. It does not
apply to a proper built-in GPS/Satnav.

A GPS far enough away to stop him touching the controls is too far away to look at without taking his attention off the road.

Which makes the law even stupider.
