You'd like that wouldn't you? How callous can you get? And all because
he dared to want to ban cars. Which would probably be a very good
thing.

I was wondering that, too.

I hope he's alright.

Don't know what has happened to Doug, but I can see we've got a suitable
replacement loonie waiting in the wings.

it is a straightforward question.
Many people (myself included) only came to this group because of Doug's
ravings, on some things I agree with him, he has a right to his opinions,
and as far as I remember he was usually polite-ish. Which is far more than
can be said for some of the rabid loons that infest this group.

Oh, come on! Why should he break the habit of a lifetime?

I hope Doug is alive and well, I didn't agree with him most of the time and
I had some fun feeding him a line to bite on but I sincerely wish him no
harm and would be happy to see him re emerge.

Crashed on his illegal scooter?

Poisoned by an undercooked mung bean?

Doored again?

Dave - Cyclists VOR. "Many people barely recognise the bicycle as a
legitimate mode of transport; it is either a toy for children or a
vehicle fit only for the poor and/or strange," Dave Horton, of Lancaster
University, wrote in an interim assessment of the Understanding Walking
and Cycling study. "For them, cycling is a bit embarrassing, they fail
to see its purpose, and have no interest in integrating it into their
lives, certainly on a regular basis."
