Well done that man.

Maybe I am reading this wrong, but surely the pedestrian had
right of way, the cyclist went through a red light to clip the
pedestrian. i.e. the Ped wasn't jaywalking but the cyclist was
RLJing.

I don't understand why Simon posted this report. He could be
losing it as most suicyclists tend to do.

Simon has not been 'normal' for many years. Jumping off a bridge,
being run over and finding God seems to have finished him off. Very
sad, people tried to guide him, but like all cyclists, he
knew better.

Has Simon found God?

"Some people might say it's God."

It was the NHS. There is not a God.

God botherers came to visit him in hospital.

Wonder if the wagon driver who will carry this attempted suicide with him
for all of his life made the effort.
Simon should be ashamed of himself.

I have since apologised to the driver and am now getting mental health assistance for my issues.

Which is exactly what many people commented when he publicised it in the
papers. Selfish ******* was the basic interpretation.

He only said "Some people might say it's God", which is not the same thing.

Of course, he might well have become religious, but you cannot conclude
that from a single six-word sentence.

My word, you are a horrible person. It was a sad incident for all

involved, including Simon's family. He's apologised to the driver, give
him a break.
Mental issues are real. Don't kick a man when he's down.

No, of course not, but at the time he said about the GBs coming around
in the hospital and giving him hope etc. etc.

Looking at the location on streetview it seems it is not a pedestrian
crossing. It is a cycle crossing.

It appears the cyclist was on the road, crossing the cycle crossing; the
road lights appear to be red. The pedestrian was crossing the road
without any guidance from pedestrian lights.

Yup so the cyclist was Red Light Jumping and the pedestrian was not
jaywalking.

Fortunately there is no such thing as jaywalking in this country but it
doesn't remove the need to pay attention.
