"on a bike you are close to death"
hmm, a rather odd thing to say

yes, there is no risk while riding a bicycle, except when you ride into
a fence or a lorry, or a pothole, or a river, or the sea, or into a lamp
post, or a train, or just fall off, oh, actually..........

Or encounter someone like you or Johndith or biNugent or Mentalguy2k8 in
a car.

Nobody said there are no risks, but given that 99.999% (at a rough
guess) of bicycle journeys are completed without fatality I think that
'you are close to death' is rather overstating the danger.

as you can see from the list I made the slightest mistake can lead to
death, while in a car the risk of death is far lower. Which is why
cyclists need to ride in the most safe and careful manner.

Please don't let the side down by talking about cyclists riding in a
safe and careful manner. Our aim is to eliminate cyclists and the more
deaths there are amongst their fraternity the better for us.

Quite right! When I am not abusing the babies of stupid women I,
Johndith the transvestite troll, like nothing more than to masturbate
over the story of a cyclist being killed.
