Not quite my idea, saw it in some bmx posts.
They have 2 thicker sidewalls, or a small beam inside the post to
prevent the posts of bending.
I think if Qu-ax did that to in there post, they would have the best
alloy post out there.

Peter M

Nice idea!
I hope they gonna do it!

Why CrMo when alloy can be lighter and strong at the same time?
If they use the "beam" idea, this post may be the best post out there.

CrMo is an alloy, be more specific.

Really? When's the last time you heard from all the other Qu ax owners?

It's nice to know you have this information though. Do you keep tabs on
all the owners of any other brands/products?

Thanks, I could not sleep otherwise

But to answer on your CrMo thing, Tristan (from the Netherlands) made a
CrMo reinforced post like 2-3 years ago.
It's the same design, except the Qu-ax has a hole in the rectangle.
His one is a bit rusty, bit still holding strong I believe.
But the weight is the only downside, that and the fact that not
everyone can weld themselfs

I wonder if it is possible to mix aluminum with steel?
